The Dance was the seeds of indie/trance to some of us, the dance and take the long road were a progression of the roses and mondays that no one has since picked up the mantle of and the reason why people are pissed off at the generic but decent indie of albums 2 and 3. The potential of progression was killed of by the band themslevs and hurts more than anything else.

this band is so good they didnt need to or do what other bands do and put the 1 or 2 better tracks at the beginning of the album, cause they are filled with dignity and integrity and that massive belief in their own music, made this an lp you must listen to from start to finish every time, it's the best way!!!!!

Seen these live three times in their career. Each time fucking epic. I was a The Music fanatic from the minute this album came out and talked about them non stop. Unbeatable and unstopable in their early days and chart toppers with their second album! Their third was horribly misjudged considering we had kasabian and why there's nothing wrong with kasabian but the music came first with this kind of early verve like genre but never got plaudits they deserved. Sad theyre no longer around.

whenever i hear older folks say things like all of the music these days is crap, i point to a few truly great bands like these guys and say, music is alive and well, you just have to look harder to find it now, and when you do, its that much more gratifying.
