@Mistwaters I think you're comparing Generation X subbacultcha music to Generation Y mainstream music. Who honestly can know what bands today are going to be heralded as the pioneers of the future? Let's not forget the vast amounts of shit music Generation X also produced in the 80's. Shall we compare The White Album to George Micheal? Just offering perpsective here.

@Mistwaters the problem with your argument is that the Gen Xers did not embrace the pixies, Gen Y did, as they did with many other musicians from that era that went much unnoticed by the "cooler" gen Xers.
