Just checked him out, he's pretty good I liked "The Attack of Original Thought" the most so far. You should check out the ones I mentioned, they have different sounds but if you like lyricism..

Eyedea was always underground, and there are still underground artists with substance. There are a lot of really talented MCs in the underground that the masses haven't heard about. Passionate MC, Devilz-Speciez, those are two really underrated artists with substance that'll make you think and there's many others.

Yea I understand what you mean. Earl has substance of sorts, which hes displayed in very few songs (by few I mean 1). I've read a few of his poems, substance is there, but when your in a group like Odd Future, substance is probably shunned in replace for hype and comical music. Im not comparing Eye and Earl, but Earl definitely has the potential to be one of the best.

I don't think so. Eyedea was Earl's age in this track, and I can tell there was a lot more going on in his mind already. Earl could improve, but I don't see him ever being on Eyedea's level when it comes to substance. Some things you don't learn, they are innate.
