Here's the history for you. Chinese music at once was populated with 'rao ko ling', which loosely means tongue twister order. You may call it the Chinese rap. They also have instruments that follow rap such like a finger handled clapper (made of wood usually). This started probably in the 1700 (don't quote me on this, i'm not 100% positive). The movement thing however, is current.
